I’ve Decided to Home Stage-What’s Next?

Author: Diane Concialdi, August 30, 2009

You are probably excited, combined with uncertainty about the process of staging or redesigning your home. Some of the things a stager needs to know in order to give you a better idea of the costs involved, are: if your home is on the market now, how long has it been on the market, how long you have lived in your home, and which rooms you would like to have staged. Keep in mind any items you will not and cannot part with. In a redesign, we work with your furniture and accessories as much as possible, and may suggest accessories or new pieces of furniture.

If your home has been on the market for some time, your Realtor may want to review the price on the  listing. There are 3 points to remember in selling your home: 1. Price   2. Location  3. Condition.  Price is the big one. If the price is too high, nothing will sell your home. Add this to a not-so-good location and bad condition and I can almost guarantee it will be on the market a long time.
