Many were in denial – “oh, I’m just renting,” or “it’s being taken care of because my husband is a Realtor.” We humans do not want to face the embarrassment of losing our homes. Before I started in the Home Staging Business, I always viewed homes on the Internet. And if they didn’t look good inside I wouldn’t give that home a second look. I’ve been thinking about how more and more women have been making decisions in the home buying process.
I wonder if this is because of my theory that more women are searching on the Internet first to see if the home is worth viewing. The occupation you are in now is most likely not your passion. The way you know is when you would do it for free, you don’t think about pay, and you feel fulfilled in it. It takes courage to step out and make the decision to start a business; the passion gives you fuel. Keep your “backup plan” for a while to bring in another source of income. Work part time or for commission only. Or you could work another talent into your income stream; play the spoons

Work on yourself, read about small business, gain confidence in doing what you love by offering it to family and friends first and then choose what you will charge. Your passion is so natural to you that it’s difficult to put a price or place a value on it. You will not understand why anyone couldn’t do what you do when it seems like common sense.
